The average MANA manufacturers' representative member employs six outside salespeople. Our largest rep agency has 80 employees, and only 17% are one-person operations. One-half of those just started their businesses in the past two years, and we expect most of them to grow their businesses by hiring salespeople.

What's the process for hiring salespeople for a manufacturers' representative business?

We scheduled the next series of MANAchats that provide a venue where members meet and exchange knowledge and information with each other on best practices they use to operate their manufacturers’ representative businesses.

In this series of MANAchats, the manufacturers’ representative members will discuss “How do I go about hiring professional salespeople for my business?”

We scheduled three MANAchats for the week of June 15, 2026.

We take the information we learn during the MANAchats and create an Agency Sales magazine article. For privacy purposes, we do not record these sessions. We also limit the number of participants to keep the discussions manageable.
