MANA’s Hotel Discount Program for Members

How do I get my discount?

Log onto and find the hotel where you want to stay. Call that hotel directly to schedule your stay. A reservation is not required, but will guarantee your room.

There is no need to identify yourself as a CheckINN Card member. Simply present your CheckINN card to the front desk staff when you arrive. Remember, when you are dealing with a national chain, call the hotel where you will be staying directly, not that chain’s central reservation line. Do not get your rate from the hotel. CLC has already negotiated your hotel rate.

The hotel will bill CLC for your stay, CLC Lodging will audit the bill for errors. Once the bill has been audited for errors CLC will bill your credit card for the discounted rate. Your CheckINN card is for room and tax only. Incidentals (mini-bar, movies, etc.) are separate and will require another form of payment. You will receive a hotel folio from the hotel at the time of checkout, but it is a proof of stay only and may or may not have the correct rate listed.

Members receive an e-mail invoice statement with the member rate for the stay, applicable taxes and a nightly $4.95 transaction fee. The 20% guarantee excludes taxes and fee. There are some rare instances in extreme economy hotels (below $40 per night) where the savings including fee might be less than 20%. Everything is based off of LPR which is room rate only (industry standard). It is very rare for the customer to save less than 20% including tax and fee and probably very unlikely in the kinds of hotels where your members are more apt to stay.

What kinds of hotels are offered?

Some examples: Best Western, Hampton, Hilton Garden Inn, Holiday Inn, Ramada, Red Roof, and Super 8.

How can I find out if this is a nice hotel?

We strongly advise that you check online reviews for any hotel where you plan to stay before you book it, whether you plan to use or not. We have had excellent results with reviews at, but you also can get good results from travel sites like Travelocity, Orbitz or Expedia.

Why do I have to call the hotel instead of being able to complete my reservation online?

The cost of linking CheckINNcard into every hotel’s reservation system is prohibitive, but we hope that saving at least 20% off each hotel’s LPR will compensate you for the extra time making a reservation. If you prefer, a Traveler Support Center Representative at CLC can make a hotel reservation for you for a $7.95 fee.

Why can’t I get a firm rate more than a week ahead?

Most hotels set their LPR each weekend for the following week. So if you are making a reservation for the 15th of the month on the 1st of the month, the hotel will not yet have set its rate for the 15th.

CheckINNCard guarantees that you will get a minimum of 20% off the LPR, but because the LPR for the day of your reservation has not yet been set, it won’t be possible to provide a firm rate before the week of your reservation. If the firm rate you receive the week of your reservation is not acceptable, you can always cancel your reservation subject to each hotel’s cancellation policies.

I have a problem, who do I call?

Please call the toll free number on your CheckINNcard, 1-888-545-9391. Although your MANA membership entitles you to free membership in CheckINNcard, your transactions are solely with CheckINNcard, MANA is not directly involved in your hotel transactions.
