“I dropped my two worst lines and started to earn tons more commission on the good lines I kept,” says one rep. “I spent way too much time on a line that didn’t pay me much but was easy to get appointments for,” says another. “I let a couple of very demanding marginal lines schedule territory visits too often and my income from my best lines suffered as a result,” says a third.
Professional reps don’t make seat-of-the-pants decisions on how to allocate their time and the time of their employees. Professional reps make a careful, methodical analysis of the lines on their line card, and then act on that analysis.
In this session Manufacturers’ Agents National Association (MANA) CEO Charles Cohon will teach you how to use MANA’s Line Card Profitability Analysis tools to maximize your profits by spending more time on lines that will give you the greatest return on time invested (ROTI) and less time on lines with lower ROTI. And, in some cases, by ending relationships with lines that don’t really belong on your line card at all.
At the end of this one-hour session you will leave with the tools you need to analyze your line card and a good understanding of how to use those tools to maximize your rep company’s profits!
